Important Tips When Making A Childs Toy

Children are our most important commodity
to ensure a future on this planet.
Lets not make a mistake and cause a child to suffer because the toys that you or I may make are done carelessly...
The following tips will help to ensure thier saftey.

No 1. Avoid sharp points on toys intended for children under the age of 8 years.

No 2. Avoid any projection that, because of its material or configuration, may present a puncture
hazard if a child should fall onto it.

No 3. Use new material of a grade that does not splinter (best to use store bought that has been
          kiln dried).

No 4. Use a non-toxic finish if any... A few suggestions are listed below.

Finishing Products.
Safe and readily available

Interesting enough is the fact that shelac is also used on the coating of pills bought and sold and consumed daily. by billions of people worldwide.

No 5. Wheels, Tires, and Axles.
Wheels should be large enough to ensure safety.
Don't use nails to attach wheels because they can pull out and be a hazard.

No 6. Attitude.
Always have a happy attitude when working with tools. A happy one is a safe.

More tips will be added on a regular basis, please check them out again
